Rachel Levin

VP of Development

Rachel Levin is the Vice President of Development at Project Shema, where she leads the organization’s fundraising strategy and philanthropic partnerships to support its growing national impact. She brings nearly two decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, philanthropy, and advocacy, with a focus on building mission-driven organizations and cultivating meaningful partnerships with donors, community leaders, and institutions across the Jewish nonprofit sector.


Prior to joining Project Shema, Rachel served as Associate Vice President of Women’s Impact and Development at Jewish Women International (JWI). During her tenure, she worked closely with progressive Jewish women across the country to build spaces for connection, learning, and community, including creating and leading women’s leadership missions to Israel.


Earlier in her career, Rachel held advocacy and philanthropy roles advancing global development and Jewish communal engagement. She later advised mission-driven organizations through her consulting practice and has spent time working internationally in India, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and Israel.


Rachel is passionate about empowering people and building strong communities. Outside of her professional work, she has taught barre and sculpt fitness for more than 15 years and enjoys helping others build strength, confidence, and connection. A proud fourth-generation Colorado native, she lives outside of Denver with her daughter, Reese.
