Deitra Reiser, PhD

Facilitator & Coach

Deitra Reiser, PhD (she/her) partners with nonprofits and synagogues across the country to promote racial equity and justice within their organizations, including the Union for Reform Judaism, the National Council for Jewish Women, Reconstructing Judaism and The Shalom Hartmann Institute.


As the founder and principal of Transform for Equity, LLC (TFE), an Antiracist Repair Group, she has had the opportunity to shift minds and organizations towards more equitable thinking and practices through individual and systemic change. She is skilled at creating spaces for people to explore their identities using intersectional identities as a frame.


Deitra holds a doctorate in educational psychology from The University of Wisconsin–Madison, is a Selah alum and a Schusterman Fellow. She has served almost 20 years as a school psychologist and educator. In her free time, she enjoys laughing with loved ones, hiking, and enjoying a good book with coffee in hand. Deitra lives in the Washington, DC area, is the mother of two daughters and back-up caregiver to two guinea pigs with her husband and two daughters.
